Charity Engagement Shootout May 2011
by Administrator on May.29, 2011, under Uncategorized
The Charity Shootout for Bridges to Ability was a success. It was held at the “Bel Air Bay Club” and the sunsetting into the ocean was a perfect backdrop for the event. There were many vendors, including myself, who donated time, services and products to help raise money for such a wonderful organization. Many couples came to “test drive” some of the most talented Wedding Photographers in Southern California. They also got to see work from Florists, Cake and Cookie Makers, Invitations, test out a Candy Bar, check out the venue, listen to a great DJ, and many other wedding professionals. There was also an auction for many wedding services and products. The “soon to be brides” even got to have their hair and make up done too!! I hope you enjoy the photos!
Charity Engagement Shootout for Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles “Hope Program”
by Administrator on Dec.27, 2010, under Uncategorized
I had the privilege of shooting for this charity shoot on September 15, 2010. It was held at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles and was so incredibly awesome. There were a number of hair and make up gals, making sure all of the Brides to Be had their hair done and make up done for the photo shoot, there was a good number of photographers, who did an incredible job working with the couples. The couples were all wonderful and very easy to work with. Everything ran so smoothly…..it was just a great evening of fun, photos, and fundraising. The evening ended with an auction, in which anyone could bid on a great number of items.
Of course this great event would not have happened if not for a wonderful colleague of mine, Jen O’Sullivan. She was gracious enough to give me the opportunity of being involved in the event, she organized all of the photographers, the venue, the auction items, the engaged couples, hair and make up, LiaSophia Jewelry, and so many other service vendors to be there and make the night a success.
Jen does these events quite often, and if any of you are engaged, or know someone who is engaged, please contact me with your information and I will fill you in on the next event. The only requirement is that you be engaged and NOT yet have a photographer for your wedding. It’s a great way to “test drive” photographers at no charge and pick one that is right for you on your wedding day. If you decide you like your photos, you have the option of purchasing the discs from each of your photographers that you liked–all the money goes to the charity, plus you can bid on great auction items that are donated by the make up artists, photographers, etc…all of that money also goes to the charity. This time around the couples were able to bid on air and makeup for their wedding day, free prints, albums, guest books, full photo shoots, jewelry, and even a wedding dress that had a retail price of $2500. This dress sold for WAY less than that…a very small fraction of the cost. If you are engaged and need a photographer, this is definitely the way to go!!!
Check out some of the great pics from the evening….also check them out at www.images4eternity.com they will all be up soon!!!

Ah, yes, I have been slacking on posting…however…here are some great pics of Dana and Shoe’s wedding. The had the ceremony at John Baca Park in Huntington Beach, and the reception in the front yard area of their apartment. Great family, friends, and of course, neighbors! The weather was perfect, and the day was even better.
Jaydan’s Birthday
by Administrator on Jan.26, 2010, under Birthday Parties, Photo and Video
What a great weekend. Friday night, I shot Jaydan’s birthday party at Scooter’s Jungle in Aliso Viejo. What a great place for kids and adults. Jaydan turned 2 years old, and let me tell you, he had a blast! Scooter’s Jungle is in a wherehouse, where they have big rooms with giant blow up slides, jumpers, zip lines, air hockey, ping pong, and all kinds of toys for the kids to play with. You get your own private room with jumper and play area, food area with tables and benches and your own private bathroom–unlike Chuck E. Cheese, where you are being ran into by other people’s out of control children. A Host is assigned to you, and MCs the cake cutting, birthday song, food, and cuts the cake, cleans up the messes, serves the kids and everything. THEY ARE AWESOME! I highly recommend you all try it for a party. Of course a personal thank you to Amrita, Jaydan’s mom, who graciously invited my daughter to attend while I was shooting. She was one of the oldest kids (except for those kids over 21) and had the best time!
On a shorter note, I booked 2 more dates for weddings and birthday parties this year, so my calendar is filling up fast!
Have a great week to you all, and enjoy the pics from Scooter’s Jungle.
Tania and Ahmed’s Wedding Day
by Administrator on Jan.24, 2010, under Photo and Video, Weddings
I absolutely love to shoot traditional East Indian Weddings. The colors of the sarees are wonderful for photographs, there is always a performance or two by family members, the bride wears beautifully handcrafted, beaded clothing, bangles, gold jewelry, and henna. I spent four days with Tania and Ahmed–The Mehndi, Pithi, Wedding day, and Satada. Four days of fun, good food, family, and celebration.
Ariel’s Bat Mitzvah

What a great time I had with these girls. I remember when I had that much energy. It was a “Night Club” theme. These girls had everything from music, to ice cream bar, to professional dancers. You can only imagine what happens when you mix a camera, backdrop, teenage girls and props!
Manjoo Mehndi

Nothing beats the beauty and elegance of a South Asian/East Indian event. Farhad and Helen had their Mehndi in Brea, California, and their wedding was the following weekend in San Fransisco. I was lucky enough to get to shoot their Mehndi! Great Indian food, beautiful decor, and best of all–warm, welcoming people who make you feel as if you are part of their family.
Dilan’s 4th Birthday

This has become an annual event for me. Dilan and his Brother Jayden are just adorable. Their mom always plans a fabulous party, fun for all.
Liaren’s 18th Birthday
by Administrator on Nov.23, 2009, under Birthday Parties
Similar to a Quinceanera, Filipino’s have a big 18th birthday celebration for their daughters. I had a wonderful time photographing this event. This was the first one that I had the privilege of shooting. Liaren was so beautiful in her dress. Her color was purple–my fav! I think my favorite part was the “18 Candles” ceremony.
